Up-and-coming young driver Joey Logano will no doubt become one of NASCAR's all-time greats someday because this kid seems to have it all. Born in 1990, Logano crossed the finish line first in only his 17th round of the 2009 Sprint Cup at the age of 19 years and 35 days, making him the youngest ever race winner in NASCAR's top racing series and garnering him the 2009 Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year award. Before this young man from Middletown, Connecticut, achieved this feat, the youngest winner in the Sprint Cup series was Kyle Busch at 20 years old. In a racing series full of older, veteran drivers, no one ever imagined that a teenager would win a race in America's preeminent stock car series. He is also the youngest ever driver to win a NASCAR Nationwide Series race (the NASCAR series one notch below Sprint Cup) when he won the Meier 300 at Kentucky Speedway in 2008 in only his third Nationwide start at the age of 18 years and 21 days. Logano was given a challenging task when he was chosen by NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs to replace one of the superstars of NASCAR, Tony Stewart. Becoming part of one of the leading teams in NASCAR also meant he inherited the mega-dollar sponsors and key personnel that helped to make Stewart a two-time Sprint Cup series champion. NASCAR star Kyle Busch took the lead late in the SpeedFest 2012 CRA Super Late Model event on January 29, 2012 at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA). Earlier in the afternoon, Chase Elliott took the win in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Pro Late Model portion of the SpeedFest event.

Speedfest 2012 CRA Super Series at Watermelon Capitol Speedway in Cordele GA. Super Late Models & Pro Latemodels in One Great Double Header! My nephew Weston Griffith Jr from Crowne Point Indiana drives car #33 and finished 17th. Wes lost 7 spots due to a wreck on turn 4 on the white flag lap. The drivers were expecting a caution flag which was never waived...the checker came out instead! Wes looked very strong at the end of the race though and I can't wait to watch him again!! There were lots of famous people in the race: David Ragan #6, Kyle Busch #51, Chase Elliott #9, John Hunter Nemechek #8, Ross Kenseth #25, And some of these kids were as young as 13, 15 and 16!!
SpeedFest 2012 at Watermelon Capital Spedway in Cordele, GA. The First race was won by Chase Elliott rising Nascar star, son of Bill Elliott who was the 1988 Cup Series Champion and has a total of 44 wins and ranked 15 in all time win list. The Second race was won by Kyle "Rowdy" Busch. The song is Brantly Gilbert "My Kind of Party".
The second and final time the trucks raced at the Chicago Motor Speedway. There was a war in the battle for the championship going on at this point of the season. This was also the first race young 16 year old Kyle Busch had a chance to win, stealing it on fuel mileage. I to this day do not know why they did not push the truck instead of tow it. Perhaps they didn't have any wreckers with the push bumpers on the front. Either way Scott Riggs took over the points lead with a win.

Kyle Busch is one of the most aggressive drivers in all of NASCAR, but that's part of his appeal. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, he is a high roller on the race track from start to finish - a fighter who always goes flat out for the lead. But what would you expect from somebody whose nickname is "No Fear?" No matter who is on-track opponents are, Busch will always challenge them, and his lack of fear in the "rubbin's racin'" philosophy—NASCAR speak for bumping an opponent at high speed—has caused major turmoil more than once. But that's just how this motor racing gambler likes it. Kyle, whose older brother is the 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup champion Kurt Busch, began racing at age 13 and started participating part-time in the super truck series at 16. He is the youngest race winner ever in both NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series and the Nextel Cup Series (renamed Sprint Cup in 2008). For the 2008 season, Bush moved from the Hendrick Motorsports team to Joe Gibbs Racing and immediately joined the ranks of the top drivers in NASCAR's top-tier racing series. Equally good on all of the various tracks in NASCAR—superspeedways, intermediate and short ovals as well as the road courses—Kyle Busch is yet another young gun who should score his first series championship soon. In fact, in the highly-competitive Sprint Cup season of 2010, Kyle was neck and neck in the points with that year's eventual champion Jimmie Johnson until the very end.
