Trivia: Mosport International Raceway is owned by the Panoz Motorsports Group, whose founder Dr. Don Panoz, created the American Le Mans Series.
It was formerly known as Mosport Park and has hosted such events as Formula 1, IndyCar, American Le Mans Series, CanAm, Formula 5000, World Sportscar Championship and several other open-wheel, sports car, and motorcycle series.
The hairpin turn in corner five is named Moss Corner in honour of Stirling Moss who suggested the layout of the corner. He was also the winner of the track's first major race, the Player's 200.
